An exterior house painting is a big undertaking so you do not just want to hire any one for the job without researching their credentials. You could ask the contractor that you are considering hiring for any references they may have from previous exterior house painting jobs that you could contact to see how the previous projects went. You could also ask if the painter has a website or any examples of previous work they have completed.

Overall, be sure that the painter you decide to hire has completely gone over their contracting process and explained how much they will be charging as well as the reasons for those charges. Once you are presented with a contract, take some time to read through it before signing it and hiring the painter just to be sure that you and the painter are both on the same page.
