They might be wrinkly.? They're probably affectionate. And they're furry and cute. They're your dogs, and if they ever get lost, there's an app for that.

"Finding Rover" is a piece of face-recognition technology that helps reunite dogs and their owners.?

"I remember the day we lost a pet, and how traumatic it was for our kids," said "Finding Rover" founder John Polimeno. "Driving down the neighborhood, putting posters up. There must be a better way."

Finding Rover is an easy to use app that, along with dog tags and microchips, can help your pet if it gets lost.

The app even comes with a "bark" button to get your dog's attention.

The goal is simple: Reduce the number of pets that come into the pound and can't find their way back home.

Think about it: You're probably already taking lots of pictures of your friends. Here's a reason to take one of your "best friend" that might save a life.

"Finding Rover"?is rolling out on the iPhone. An Android version is due soon.
