Animal Welfare League of Pittsylvania County ? Pets for Patriots

About Animal Welfare League of Pittsylvania County

The Animal Welfare League of Pittsylvania County offers dog adoptions to member patriots and will assist them in finding their new best friend. The all-volunteer group is dedicated to the humane treatment of animals, and rescues at-risk pets from local county and other shelters to increase their chances of adoption.

The organization fosters all animals in their care, during which time they are trained and socialized in a home environment, increasing their adoption potential. As part of its commitment to fostering the pet-person bond, the Animal Welfare League of Pittsylvania County operates a Pet Pantry program to assist dog and cat owners who receive assistance through the Northern Pittsylvania County Food Bank. The League maintains pet food drop-off boxes in various retail establishments across the county.

The?Animal Welfare League of Pittsylvania County welcomes monetary donations, as well as contributions to its Pet Pantry. For a more hands on experience, become one of their valued volunteers or pet fosters.
