The University of Texas at Austin Longhorns have been so successful in baseball that the school has been nicknamed ?The University of Texas at Omaha,? after the College World Series of Omaha.? T-shirts with ?The University of Texas at Omaha? have been sold since at least 2009.
Augie Garrido became the baseball coach in 1997 and the Longhorns baseball team went to the College World Series six consecutive years (2000-06), winning two national championships (2002 and 2005). However, ?The University of Texas at Omaha? was cited in a Google Groups message board on June 2, 1996?before Garrido became coach.

The College World Series or CWS is an annual baseball tournament held in Omaha, Nebraska, that is the culmination of the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, which determines the NCAA Division I college baseball champion. Coaching career 
Garrido is currently the coach of the Longhorns of The University of Texas at Austin, where he has coached since 1997 and amassed a record of 666-301-1 (.688) prior to the 2012 campaign. 
Garrido?s teams have won five national titles (1979, 1984, 1995, 2002, 2005). He is one of only two coaches, along with Andy Lopez, to lead teams from more than one school (California State University, Fullerton and Texas) to national titles, and is the first coach to guide teams to national championships in four different decades.

That?s the question I?ve started asking myself these last few weeks?. really months. 
The team with the highest winning percentage in Division-1 history (.740). 
The team with 77 conference titles and 34 College World Series appearances, both records. 
The team that went to the College World Series six consecutive years (2000-06) and holds the mark for the most trips to Rosenblatt.
