 Shanker | It is true that long distance relationships dont last long. Even if it is bound by a marriage, it will lead to a disaster. Every relationship has some amount of emotion built into it. An effective emotion is displayed both in words and body language. It is difficult to express emotion only in words. We need the physical presence of the person with whom we have a relationship. Out of sight means out of mind. Long distance relationships can be effective, if there are not too many strings attached to it. For example... good friends. This forum provides an opportunity for long distance relationships. Many of us may never meet in this life time, yet we are here to provide solace, and comfort to a friend who is feeling unhappy and share the joy of a friend who has accomplished something important for him or her.
